Stock&Roll helps workshops manage the storage and movement of large-format media rolls.
In the paper and visual communications industries, handling and storing large-format rolls has always been a challenge. Stock&Roll provides innovative solutions designed to improve workplace conditions and the well-being of printer operators.
The company’s products are currently on show at drupa on the HP, Epson, EFI, Canon and Fujifilm stands.
“There are many issues around health and well-being when it comes to handling and storing large-format printing media rolls,” says Marie-Hélène Pico, director of Stock&Roll. “They are big and heavy, and if not handled correctly, they can cause injury. This is what spurred the company to create products that enhance operator safety and efficiency. We have now sold nearly 6,000 units since 2015.”
Ergonomics for better health
Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are a major cause of workplace illnesses and accidents across various sectors. To combat this, Stock&Roll’s products are developed with ergonomic principles in mind. “Preventing and limiting the onset of these disorders requires a sustainable and effective strategy based on ergonomics,” explains Marie-Hélène. “Each product features a patented safety system to facilitate the handling of heavy loads. Operators simply release the safety catch and tilt the roll, allowing a single person to move several rolls easily and safely on any type of floor.”
Stock&Roll’s products are designed to streamline stock management in workshops. “Rolls are often mishandled, misplaced, or damaged, leading to wasted time and materials,” says Marie-Hélène. “Stock&Roll eliminates these issues by providing dedicated slots for rolls, making it easy to locate and manage inventory. This system reduces waste and enhances overall efficiency and comfort in the workplace.”
Customer-Driven Evolution
Customer feedback has been integral to the evolution of Stock&Roll’s product range. The company’s offerings now include models that can store and transport up to six rolls of 160 cm in a vertical position, and the Grand Stock&Roll can handle up to 18 rolls, carrying a maximum of 900 kg.
For larger formats up to 5 meters, the Buddy Rolls trolley is available, capable of carrying up to 2,000 kg horizontally, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. To address the need for fixed vertical storage, Stock&Roll developed the Po-dium fixed trolley, which can store up to 18 rolls. “Our customers guided us towards products capable of handling heavy loads,” says Marie-Hélène.
