The IPIA has remained committed throughout 2023 to delivering events and special projects that drive growth for the UK print industry.
IPIA has achieved this in part through supporting print businesses with access to affordable events, which provide education and high-quality business networking. Recognising Excellence 2023, taking place on November 29th, is set to carry on that mission.
Recognising Excellence sees an Expo and Networking Lunch take place at the Leonardo Hotel and Conference Centre – Hinckley Island. It is then followed by its Gala Dinner and Awards Night that celebrates the innovation, achievements, and hard work of industry members.
Chair of the IPIA’s Events Subcommittee, Matthew Ruff, (Sales and Marketing Director of mail sector specialist Reliance), explains the value of the event and why it is worth attending: “The wealth of information and education available to attendees during the Expo is very comprehensive – providing them with critical insights into how the latest print and media technology can support their growth or diversification ambitions. It is so important to take the time every so often to spend a day working on your business, and not just in it.
“The Networking Lunch is then a platform for attendees to talk directly to prospective customers – no matter which part of the supply chain they come from – and potentially generate new business and beneficial relationships.
“For those who would like to stay on for the evening festivities – we then have a wonderful programme of amazing food, live entertainment, celebration and the chance to do further high-quality networking.”
Tickets to the Recognising Excellence event start with a daytime pass and lunch at the Expo and Business Networking Hub, rising to a complete package including overnight accommodation and breakfast.
A valuable day out
The Expo and Business Networking Hub runs from 11:00 to 15:00, with a pause for the Networking Lunch and the IPIA Chairman’s address. This allows attendees to engage with more than 20 print technology and media exhibitors at their own pace, create new business connections, explore new partnerships, and take part in a series of interactive experiences.
There is also a competition run by the IPIA, where each attendee collects stamps from the exhibitors they meet. These are then exchanged for entry into prize draws worth up to £450 and a year’s free IPIA Membership.
A night to remember
The Gala Dinner begins with a champagne reception at 19:00 and, at 21:00, winners of the Recognising Excellence Awards are announced followed by a night of live entertainment.
The IPIA’s famous ‘Stand-up Bingo’ to raise money for The Printing Charity will be held during dinner and live music from celebrated band Happy Hour and dancing conclude the evening’s proceedings.
