Queen B’s calendar girls project surpasses £31,000 fundraising milestone with Premier’s Support

The project is celebrating a remarkable achievement having raised over £31,000 for the Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre

The initiative, spearheaded by the dynamic Queen B’s group and founded by Bev Nibbs, has gained tremendous community support, selling approximately 1900 calendars to date.

The success of the project can also be attributed to the outstanding photography skills of Bromsgrove-based photographer Natalie Clarke. The photoshoot took place in 12 different locations, capturing the essence and spirit of the Queen B’s group.

Bev Nibbs shared her experience, saying, “None of us had ever done anything like this before. At first, we all felt quite nervous, but thanks to Natalie Clarke and the clever use of props – we all relaxed.”

Premier’s Group Marketing Director, Dave Jones, expressed enthusiasm about their involvement, stating, “Calendars continue to be a very popular gift and the number of calendars sold so far has not surprised me. The design, printing and the packaging of the calendar are all first class but above all the calendar conveys a sense of positivity and fun. We are thrilled to be part of this incredible initiative and to have worked with Bev and the Queen Bees. Supporting causes that foster community spirit, empowerment, and compassion aligns perfectly with our company’s values.”

Premier, a key supplier of paper and materials, has supported the fundraising endeavour. The company’s commitment to community projects has shone through as it not only provided Essential Silk for the calendar but also covered all of the production costs.

While celebrating the success achieved so far, the Queen B’s group have their eyes set on an ambitious goal—they aim to raise £32,000 by Christmas. The Queen B’s group is encouraging the community to continue their support by purchasing the remaining 100 calendars to reach their target of 2000.

The Queen B’s group is a Bromsgrove, Worcestershire-based community, and those interested in joining their vibrant and supportive Facebook group can visit Queen B’s Facebook Group. New members are always welcome, eager to have fun, make friends, and contribute to meaningful causes.

The Calendar Girls initiative exemplifies how a community can unite to support a worthy cause while enjoying shared experiences. Calendars are available for purchase through sponsors of the calendar, and all proceeds go directly to the Primrose Hospice & Family Support Centre.
