One of the highlights on the UK print industry calendar, Sign & Digital UK has been running for more than 35 years, helping companies connect with key manufacturers and suppliers from all corners of the market. Sign & Digital UK 2025, which takes place from 23-25 February at Birmingham’s NEC, will also be only the second edition of the event to be co-located with Printwear & Promotion LIVE!

Soyang is a long-term supporter of the show and will this year use the event to demonstrate just some of the many solutions available from the Soyang Hardware section of the business.

Highlights on stand M20 include the Fujifilm Acuity Prime Hybrid, a flatbed and roll-to-roll printer that has a maximum print speed of 141sq m/hr. The machine offers a 2,050mm print width and offers white and clear ink, as well as a primer ink option, to customers.

Also on display will be several machines from Mimaki. Visitors can learn more about the new Mimaki CJV200 Series, a range that comprises three print and cut machines in widths of 800mm, 1,360mm and 1,610mm. Users can enjoy a top printing speed of 70sq m/hr in four-colour mode and 29sq m/hr in eight-colour.

Those in attendance can also view the Mimaki UCJV330, the flagship UV print and cut solution from Mimaki, which can produce print at resolutions of up to 1800dpi. Offering a top speed of 55sq m/hr, the machine is ideally suited to applications such as signs, banners, wall graphics, window graphics, event branding and stickers.

The third Mimaki machine that will appear on the Soyang stand at Sign & Digital UK is the Mimaki UJF6042, a desktop flatbed UV printer that runs at up to 3.52sq m/hr. The device boasts an A2 bed measuring 600mm x 420mm and several ink options, making it perfect for printing personalised products.

Soyang will be showcasing the Veloblade Nexus 2516, one of several options available in Vivid Laminating Technologies’ Veloblade Nexus wide-format digital die cutting range. All machines within this collection offer CNC routing with 25mm cut depth, automatic tool change and cut depth settings, as well as the ability to cut, crease and perf in a single pass.

Also on the finishing side, Soyang will invite those in attendance to learn more about its Bubble Free flatbed applicators. Soyang offers both the Bubble Free Pro and Bubble Free Mouse solutions to the market, with technical experts on hand to talk visitors through the benefits of these machines.

Live demonstrations of Solent Texsew Pro Conveyorline will also take place on the stand. A versatile sewing system ideal for applications such as banners, signs, flags, textiles and fabrics, it offers single or twin needle lockstitch sewing. Users also benefit from features such as quick-change guides for fast changeover in production and automatic start and end tacking.

Finally, Soyang will showcase the Keencut SteelTrak 250, a high production machine for cutting rigid and semi-rigid materials, as well as scoring and snaping glass and acrylic. The device is the ideal solution for cutting or v-grooving aluminium composite, with a fast set-up for cutting identical boards.

While the focus for Soyang at Sign & Digital UK will be on hardware, visitors to its stand can also find out about the company’s extensive range of media. Sample packs will be available on the stand, while Soyang will be using materials from its new SoStick range for the live demonstrations of its hardware solutions.

“Sign & Digital UK is always one of the annual highlights for the Soyang team,” said Mark Mashiter, Managing Director of Soyang Europe. “It is the first opportunity of the year to take part in a large-scale, industry-wide event and capitalise on the wide-ranging audience that regularly attends.

“This year, our focus will very much be on showcasing how we can provide the hardware solutions that printers and related businesses need to succeed. That said, our team of knowledgeable experts will also be on hand to also talk visitors through how we can support them with their media and material requirements.”
