Adding to their more compact range of affordable printers, InkTec have launched a UV Direct-to-film Printer.
Designed to broaden printing opportunities for printers operating in the printwear and promotion arena, the printer was first revealed at the recent Print Show at the NEC.
Using ultraviolet curing technology, this printing approach enables designs to be easily transferred directly onto hard, smooth objects, even onto irregular shapes. A combination of UV-curable ink and a special film creates designs that can be added to a variety of substrates, including plastics, metal, board and more. With no need for weeding the image, users can press firmly and peel off the film. Ideal for adding designs to a myriad of promotional items.
The printer’s compact size, with the option for either a 60cm or 30cm print width, makes it an accessible piece of kit which can easily be used and integrated into existing operations. In addition, InkTec offers specialist UV DTF Film and inks in CMYK, plus White and Varnish. These use their experience of over 30 years developing and manufacturing inks to deliver vivid colours, creating striking graphics that can be easily applied.
Joey Kim, Managing Director of InkTec, said,
“Building on the success of the compact DTF Printer and solutions launched earlier this year, it was a natural progression to also introduce a UV DTF Printer. It is an exciting time at InkTec, and we have been having conversations with a variety of people who can see the potential of what this printer can bring. Some of whom were looking for a way to easily apply graphics without the challenge of having multiple application stages. As the UV technology applies the varnish at the same time during the printing process, the result is a glossy, strong finish which quickly adheres to the medium it is being applied to.”
Priced from £10,600 for the 30cm printer, the printers are supplied with a manufacturers warranty, full maintenance instructions and full training on the day of installation by InkTec’s dedicated engineers.
