ISA-UK, the leading independent trade association for the UK sign, graphics and visual communications industry, is delighted to announce the appointment of David Allen as its new President.
A highly respected and experienced professional in the UK signage market, David will take over from Sam Armstrong, who has served for the last two years as President. Sam will support David in his new role for the next 12 months, after which ISA-UK will look to appoint a new vice president.
David is currently Managing Director of Allen Signs, a multi-service, family-run business that has been producing a wide range of signage applications since it was founded by his parents in 1965.
Allen Signs’ own affiliation with the modern-day ISA-UK stretches all the way back to the early 1970s, with the company having been part of the organisation’s network for almost 50 years.
“My father always believed membership of a recognised trade body was vital to show to customers that he was serious about his business and the service he delivered,” David said. “Nearly 50 years later, to take over the presidency of that same association is something I’m very proud to do.
“To be following in the footsteps of some of the best-known names in our trade is humbling. Like those that have gone before me, I hope I can continue to add value to the association.
“I’d also like to give my thanks to Sam for all her hard work over the last two years and I’m looking forward to building on her good work.”
On the appointment, ISA-UK CEO Craig Brown adds: “We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming David as our new President. Both the organisation and our many members across the UK will benefit from his incredible knowledge of the industry.
“I very much look forward to seeing how David will pick up where Sam left off and help ISA-UK continue to grow over the coming years.”
