Visitors to Visual Impact can engage with experts through seminars designed to foster relationships and provide valuable insights.

Visitors to the sold-out Visual Impact Brisbane will be able to explore the latest innovations in sign, display, graphics, wide-format and textile printing, engraving, laser cutting, and more. Beyond the cutting-edge exhibits, attendees can connect with industry experts who can support their business success.

Visual Connections, the event organisers, have revamped the seminar concept for the Brisbane show to maximise value for visitors. The programme will feature shorter, more focused sessions in the intimate, theatre-style Connections Centre, led by industry thought leaders, product specialists, and technical experts.

Charly Blades, Events Manager, emphasises that the goal is to foster relationships as well as deliver information. “Seminar sessions are always valuable for gathering information, but the relationships built across the industry are what can really make the difference as businesses navigate challenges, evaluate opportunities, and make important investment decisions. Often, seminar attendees don’t get the chance to actually connect with the presenters and ask their own questions, but in the Connections Centre, conversation will be prioritised – there will be presentations, of course, but it will be much more of a two-way conversation, with the end-goal of fostering genuine connections.”

The show will feature two types of presentations. Expert Connections sessions will cover industry challenges and topics of interest, including sustainability in signage, graphic trends, workplace satisfaction, and issues related to talent, training, and apprenticeships. Market Connections sessions will provide technology-specific information on media, heat printing, transfers, color management, and growing décor applications.

Confirmed presenters include Myra Anwar (Smartech), Ben Carroll (Velflex), Fiona Jacklyn (MEGT), Zeff Lowe (Epson Australia), London Mills (Visual Media Association), and Ryan Warby (Epson).

Signage businesses can gain hands-on experience with the latest channel letter bending solutions for 3D illuminated signage using LEDs. These sessions, costing $25 each, require bookings in advance.

Students can explore career opportunities at the Try-A-Trade booth, engaging in typical industry tasks, receiving advice from TAFE experts, and speaking with current apprentices and professionals. Sign & Print Career Connections resources will also be available.

Visual Impact Brisbane will be held from 9 am to 5 pm on Wednesday, July 17, and Thursday, July 18, and from 9 am to 4 pm on Friday, July 19, at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre at South Bank.
