Blocks introduces the RF50 3D printer

Portuguese firm Blocks launches its new product aimed at aerospace, engineering and precision moulding industries

Blocks announces the launch of its latest 3D printer, the Blocks RF50, engineered to meet the demanding standards of industries like aerospace, precision moulding, advanced engineering, and product development. The RF50 can produce intricate, highly detailed components with micron-level precision. This makes it ideal for applications requiring exacting tolerances and complex geometries.

“We designed the Blocks RF50 to address the growing demand for big volume, fast, adaptable, and precise 3D printing technology in high-stakes fields,” said Duarte Bragadesto, CEO of Blocks. “This launch brings to the market a powerful tool that not only improves product quality but also significantly reduces lead times, giving our clients the competitive edge they need in an increasingly fast-paced environment.”

“Our vision with the Blocks RF50 was to set a new standard in 3D printing for industries demanding both precision and efficiency,” says Alexandre Guerreiro, CTO of Blocks. “With advanced tech specifications, the RF50 is engineered to handle complex, large-scale projects with accuracy and speed. We’re especially proud of its innovative design, optimized to deliver high-performance printing for sectors like aerospace, product design, and engineering.”

With a substantial 50x50x50 cm build area, the RF50 supports the creation of large, complex components in a single print while delivering print speeds up to 600 mm/s with 32,000 mm/s² acceleration and a 30 mm³/s volumetric flow rate. Fully enclosed with HEPA filtration, the RF50 is engineered for industrial floor compatibility, offering robust performance and safe operation in manufacturing environments.
Micron-level accuracy can be achieved across various materials, making the RF50 suitable for applications from high-precision aerospace parts to detailed moulds and engineering prototypes.
An intuitive interface allows for easy setup, monitoring, and control, enhanced by remote operation and live video streaming for real-time oversight, making it ideal for both on-site and remote management.

The Blocks RF50 is set for release on the 29th of November 2024, available for pre-order starting on that day on Blocks website, www.blockstec.com, with the first units expected to be delivered by the end of the first quarter of 2025.
